Webinar Presenters:
Jonathan Gibson is the Director of the Consortium and State Relations Department at WIDA. Jonathan's experience as a secondary EL and Bilingual Education teacher, and as a Nevada LEA and State Title III Director focus his efforts to serve students, empower teachers, and engage leaders through policy and practice. Jonathan contributed to the development and content validity of WIDA SIS.
Mark Blitz is the Project Director for the WIDA School Improvement System (WIDA SIS), which derived from the Comprehensive Assessment of Leadership for Learning (CALL), for which Mark is also the Project Director. Mark contributed to the development, piloting, and validation of WIDA SIS. He received his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying charter school leadership. He also holds a MA in teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University and taught in New York City for seven years.
